Position Summary: The University Office of Evaluation and Educational Effectiveness at Arizona State University is seeking an Associate Director for Assessment. Under administrative direction, this position is responsible for designing, leading, implementing and/or evaluating institutional assessment initiatives, consulting on improving the quality of assessment practices and outcomes, providing training and developing assessment tools and resources, and contributing to a positive culture of assessment at ASU. Position Title: Director, Institutional Research and Assessment

Location: Tempe

Position Summary: Brigham Young University, Director, Institutional Research and Assessment  In this role, you will provide leadership in strategic research and assessment initiatives to support academic student success and the achievement of the BYU Mission and Aims, as well as be an integral part of a collaborative team. This job is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large volumes of data to provide university leadership access to trusted and actionable data, is committed to academic student success, and can manage projects and people. This position requires technical skills plus an understanding of higher education institutional research. The successful candidate has outstanding interpersonal, analytical, and written communication skills. 

The person must be proficient in statistical, data-oriented software tools such as R, SPSS, SQL, Tableau, and Excel.   What you'll do in this position: 

• Direct strategic research and assessment initiatives to support institutional objectives.

• Lead efforts in collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting institutional data to identify trends related to university strategic priorities.  

• Lead the development of a university-wide data foundation and data analytics environment that provides access to uniform student-level data for use across the university.

• Manage the institutional research team.

• Represent the Office of Assessment and Planning on committees, task forces, and university-wide initiatives. 

• Foster solid and collaborative relationships with academic departments and administrative units to enhance data-informed decision making across the university.

Position Title: FT Senior Research Analyst/Programmer

Location: Sierra Vista-Downtown Center, AZ

Position Summary: The Senior Research Analyst/Programmer is responsible for supporting evidence-based decision making through the timely completion of Institutional Research projects and workflow, preparing reports, retrieving and analyzing data from institutional databases, and providing official statistics and related functions for college leadership, academic support units, state and federal agencies, and other stakeholders; maintains a calendar of regular data reports, responds to ad hoc requests for data and information, and creates standard reports from a variety of sources.
