This job is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large volumes of data to provide university leadership access to trusted and actionable data, is committed to academic student success, and can manage projects and people. This position requires technical skills plus an understanding of higher education institutional research. The successful candidate has outstanding interpersonal, analytical, and written communication skills.
The person must be proficient in statistical, data-oriented software tools such as R, SPSS, SQL, Tableau, and Excel. What you'll do in this position:
Direct strategic research and assessment initiatives to support institutional objectives.
Lead efforts in collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting institutional data to identify trends related to university strategic priorities.
Lead the development of a university-wide data foundation and data analytics environment that provides access to uniform student-level data for use across the university.
Manage the institutional research team.
Represent the Office of Assessment and Planning on committees, task forces, and university-wide initiatives.
Foster solid and collaborative relationships with academic departments and administrative units to enhance data-informed decision making across the university.
